In southern Finland, there are many traditional foods

Mämmi is like pudding, but it’s sturdier. The color of
the mämmi is black. Usually this food is eating in Easter.
Runebergin tortut = Runeberg tarts. The name of the
tarts comes from a Finnish writer, called Johan Ludvig Runeberg.
Marjapiirakka = Berry Pie. Here is a recipe;
2 eggs
1,5 dl sugar
2 ts vanilla sugar
3 dl wheat flour
1,5 ts baking powder
150 g butter
1 dl milk or fruit juice
Berries on top
What to do?
Whisk eggs and sugar into a foamy mixture. Add wheat flour,
baking powder and vanilla sugar. Then add milk or fruit juice and butter. Put
dough into a cake tin and sprinkle berries that you want, on top. I usually
put there blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Bake in the oven, at 200 °
C, 25-30 minutes.
